About the Women Grievance Cell

The Women Grievance Cell is constituted to address issues related to sexual harassment and to ensure a fair, safe and supportive campus environment for women. The Cell functions in accordance with statutory guidelines and institutional policies to protect the dignity and rights of women.

The Cell seeks to inform the campus community of their right to a respectful work and learning environment. It believes that practicing respect and empathy in our interactions is the foundation for creating a campus free from sexual harassment.

Simple respect for all members of the campus community is thus the central focus of the Women Grievance Cell.

Functions of the Women Grievance Cell

• To advise complainants on informal and formal means of resolution as specified by the Cell.
• To ensure fair and timely resolution of sexual harassment complaints.
• To provide information regarding counselling and support services available on the campus.
• To ensure that students, faculty and staff are provided with current and comprehensive information on sexual harassment and assault.
• To promote awareness about sexual harassment through educational initiatives that encourage a respectful and safe campus environment.
